LSC Members recognize that shipowners who do not actively participate in the processes that shape their business environment, can easily become victims of that process. Through LSC, our Members actively engage in the IMO regulatory process as well as in the regulatory processes at the regional and local level.
LSC provides its members with research and analysis of industry issues developed after discussions with shipowners, industry groups and direct source contacts, as well as through participation in relevant governmental organization hearings. By being a Full Member of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), LSC Members enjoy access to ICS circulars and advisories as well.
LSC offers Members unique resources that help Liberian shipowners with their labor management policies and practices, including our “Guidelines and Procedures concerning the Law of Boycotts of Vessels”. This publication includes advice and guidance that may better enable shipowners to minimize their risk of encountering industrial action.
